Established in 1969 by Hull-born Alan Russell, Landplan was a one-man operation working on forestry jobs and private gardens. Within 8 years Alan was leading a team of five staff, and in 1983 Landplan became a limited company.
Over the next 10 years, the business went from strength to strength, earnings itself a reputation for friendly, efficient and reliable service. In 1993 Alan went into semi-retirement and began training his son Joe, to take over the growing business. Joe took on the role of Managing Director in 1996 and his passion for the latest landscaping technology and machinery has seen the company expand and broaden its services. Landplan was one of the first UK companies to invest in a laser grading machine which allows faster and more accurate construction of sports pitches and golf courses. From the first tractor purchased by Alan in 1969, to tracked dumpers, mechanical tree flailers and fellers, stump grinders, trenching machines and tree spade large enough to relocate mature trees, Landplan’s fleet now surpasses 50 machines and are investing continually for the future.
We are proud to support the Hull Kingston Scout Group.
"Hi Joe thanks for the kind donation of trees, posts and tying gear, from Landplan, the scouts really enjoyed planting them at Raywell whilst away camping. This will go towards there jubilee badge to help celebrate the queens jubilee." - Hull Kingston Scout GroupThis involves something as simple as donating a few bags of compost to hosting the annual Halloween party. This is very well supported and raises up to £2000 every year.
