We carry out various works from the general public up to large scale site clearance.
Our operatives hold NPTC certificates in a wide range of disciplines and all complete first aid training.
Although we still have the skills a to carry out dismantling by climbing, we prefer to use our access platform as its quicker, more cost effective and complies with H&S guidance.
The platform can gain access through a standard doorway, we have even travelled it through a school to get to courtyard trees.
Tree Relocation
We have used tree spades for over 20 years and this is a great system to use to relocate a tree. Typical examples include memorial trees.

Landplan have access to 30 acres of mature trees. These are lifted with a specialist tree spade. With our low ground pressure tracked dumpers we can relocate the trees to where you would like with minimum disturbance. Mature trees do create an instant impact.
The process starts with excavating the tree pit as can be seen at the bottom of the photo.
A tree is lifted into the hole.
A 20-year-old Oak tree relocated in 20 minutes.
During the construction of a new major road, 100m of established native hedge was lost. We supplied and planted a replacement hedge.
This is the hedge 2 years later. Hedges are crucial habitat and vital food sources for our native animals. The diverse vegetation can be seen here.
Root Grinding
Landplan's expertise when it comes to trees is not only limited to above ground; using specialist heavy duty grinding equipment they are able to effectively remove stumps and roots, old and new, up to 450mm.
A powerful rotating cutting disc chips away at the wood of the stump leaving sawdust. This is then mixed with the surrounding soil and fills the space that the stump has left, eliminating the need for waste disposal and its associated costs.
Landplan's stump grinder provides the customer with a faster, easier and more cost effective way of preventing re-growth of the felled tree as well as the development of honey fungus infection of the stump.
Case Study
Stump removal is extremely useful when developing an area; Landplan has recently removed 30 stumps from Spring Bank West Road in Hull as part of carriage widening scheme. Other than allowing foundations to be laid for building construction, drives, roads or other such projects, stump and root removal can be successfully used on estates and golf courses to make maintaining lawns less problematic.
