Our biomass is sourced only from virgin timber. This is usually derived from tree works, site clearance and occasionally thinning of commercial woodland.
Oversized logs are cut down to manageable sections using this very productive log splitter mounted on an excavator.
Biomass fuel can be loaded quickly and efficiently.
All woodchip is returned to Landplan depot for further processing. All unsuitable material is rejected and used in our landscape works. The woodchip is then trommelled i.e., fed through a sizing machine, to remove all oversize and undersize material. We then dry the woodchip to a moisture content of between 19 % and 25 %. Once the correct parameters are achieved, the G30 biofuel is stored undercover and ready for sale.
A document is provided with each sale giving the BSL number, the moisture content and finally the quantity. These details are all required for making your RHI application.
